Rupom Razzaque

Senior Fellow

Rupom Razzaque is a social activist and human rights defender who has also been vocal about democratic values for many years. In his professional life he worked for roles like senior software engineer, data scientist, data engineer and chief technology officer as well as a technology entrepreneur and a researcher in the field of computer science and information technology. Apart from being in the technology field, he has also been a journalist and a contributing editor for various newspapers in Bangladesh.

With his technology knowledge, Mr Razzaque has also volunteered in many nonprofit organizations both in Bangladesh and the United Kingdom – mostly in the social awareness, democratic movement and human rights arenas. He also works for journalists living in the rural Bangladesh to educate them the safe use of digital technology.

Mr Razzaque is a graduate and alumni of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) in Bangladesh where he achieved bachelor of engineering degree and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in the United Kingdom where he achieved a master of science degree.
