AKM Zakir Hossain
Zakir is a researcher, teacher, and dedicated human rights defender, who has overcome immense challenges in the fight for justice and equality. He has delved deep into the systemic issues that underlie human rights abuses, from political corruption to institutionalized discrimination. Currently, he collaborates as a Co-Investigator (Consultant role) with an anti-corruption research team at SOAS-ACE, University of London funded by FCDO, UK. He also works in a Further Education college at Hornchurch, Essex, UK. Teaching proficiency highlights proven success in UK schools and colleges, supporting inclusive education and diverse learners. Extensive teaching experience in universities across Bangladesh and Thailand demonstrates Zakir’s cultural adaptability and global perspective.
Zakir’s work has been instrumental in exposing the root causes of human rights violations and has helped to inform policies and strategies to address them.
