Afzal Zami Syed-Ali is a practicing barrister in England who specializes in complex fraud and serious and organized crime. He is also a registered advocate in Bangladesh. Zami has served as an expert for the OSCE/ODIHR database of international Political and Electoral Observers until December 2022. He has advised the EU-EOMB on electoral laws, regulatory reforms, and security and public order enforcement issues. Zami was previously a trainer for JCWI and the ICRC and started his career as a UNHCR trainer on the laws of international and non-international armed conflict.
